Pregnancy and childcare

Pregnancy is a time when much strain is placed on the mother's body. Taking care of one's back during this process is most valuable. Then once the tiny bundle is born, there are new strains to be placed on the body. Picking up, rocking, feeding, changing, carrying are a few of the new tasks which parents are going to experience. The back and neck can take enormous strain, making all those tasks very painful. The article below is all about Alexander technique and pregnancy. Do have a look at it.

Children have the best use naturally

Picture
The thing about the Alexander technique is that, one already know how to use one's body, but over the years one forgets. The teacher's job is just to remind you. We all start out with excellent use of our body, and then all sorts of things get in the way, such as, heavy bags on our shoulders at school, sitting for too many hours at school,  slouching on a couch watching television. Our furniture is very badly designed and not user friendly at all. It may be modern or flash, but our body doesn't fit into them. Same goes for car seats. In our environment we encounter many obstacles to keeping that amazing use we are born with. The teacher, will over time, and repetition, help to remind the student how to find their way back to this great, easy use.
